Perfect Amino vs Kion Aminos (and a third option)

Facts checked on October 31, 2026. Prices and formulas change; check each brand's own site before you buy.

Perfect Amino by BodyHealth and Kion Aminos are both essential amino acid (EAA) supplements with large followings, and both come as a powder or a pill. The real differences are disclosure, flavor and how you take them. We make a third option, Rejuvenate Muscle Health, a single-serve stick, and it is in the table too. Every fact links to the brand's own page.

Transparency: listed amounts or a proprietary blend

Kion lists every amino acid and its amount on the product page: 5,000 mg in total, with 2,000 mg of leucine, and a trace of tryptophan (3.5 mg). Perfect Amino describes its 5 g formula as a proprietary blend and does not list individual amounts.

Price

A tub of Kion Aminos is $49.95, about $45 on subscription. Kion's page does not state servings per tub, so a per-serving price would be a guess; check the label before comparing. Perfect Amino is $1.28 to $1.53 a serving bought once and from $1.09 on subscription.

What each brand claims

Kion calls Aminos "better than protein" and "a clinically formulated blend of all 9 essential amino acids." BodyHealth says Perfect Amino offers "up to 99% utilization" and describes a serving as "the protein equivalent of 30 grams of whey." These are each brand's own claims, quoted as written.

It activates muscle comparable to 20g of protein per serving†‡ and contains no protein. Its blend has eight essential amino acids plus arginine, without tryptophan, and it is sweetened with sucralose and stevia. Compare Rejuvenate with Perfect Amino.
